Sublime with Rome // Ventura, CA

When Elena told me she would be visiting for Thanksgiving, and it just so happened to be the same weekend Sublime with Rome was playing the Ventura Theater I absolutely haaaad to buy us tickets. Her and I went to Ventura super early, went to The Cross (because that view is just unbelievable), grabbed Starbucks (like 3 different times), looked in all the cool little shops, and were the first people let into the theater.

We got a spot right in front (you can see us on the left side if you look real close at the photos from the stage!) Dirty Rice opened and did a super amazing job, you should take a minute and check them out. Sublime with Rome killed it, and I'm pretty sure Rome and I had a moment when we made eye contact (joking... or am I?) so naturally I tweeted him after. I'm happy with the outcome of that. Due to the fact we were some of the first people in, we were the last out - but that was a huge bonus because I got the set list off the stage!! After the concert we grabbed Taco Bell because cheap. And yum.

Also, I love this venue because security is on it. I actually felt safe at a concert and like I wasn't going to get kicked in the head, which is always a plus.

My favorite kind of Friday // Ventura, CA

My favorite kind of Friday night -- A trip to my favorite places on this planet, Ventura + Oxnard. I picked Sierrah up immediately after classes and we went straight to the beach. I'm so thankful we didn't miss the sunset, look at how gorgeous it is!! We went to The Habit, and sat at a table with our initials already written on the chair (obvi meant to be). Theeen we drove around blasting music and singing at the top of our lungs. Every time I hang out with Sierrah I end up laughing so much my chest hurts and I start coughing hahah. To finish off the night, we went to the mall and watched the Christmas tree lights get lit up while they blasted "turnt" Christmas music (according to Sierrah) and naturally, we had to stop and grab some Menchies. Sierrah got a concoction of different frozen yogurts and candies, and I went with my usual strawberry-vanilla-oreo dealio. I can't wait until the beach is only a ten minute drive from my house. One day. I hope you enjoy the photos and can appreciate the gorgeousness of those palm trees. ;)
